Cheryl is the youngest of two children and was born in Sonora California. After graduating High School in Lodi, CA, she joined the US Navy and trained to be an electronics technician. After being honorably discharged, she went back to college while raising 2 sons and obtained a BS in Physiology from University of California Santa Barbara and then went on to attend George Washington University where she was one of 12 students in her class to obtain dual Masters Degrees in Health Sciences and Public Health. Cheryl has been certified as a Physician Assistant since 2003 and came to Phoenix later that same year where she worked primarily in Family Practice until she fell in love with the practice of pediatric medicine in 2007.
